Accepting & Embracing | Life Talk

Well, hello beautiful people! I know, I’ve been MIA (missing in action). So much has been going on, with family and everything. But the real reason is I’ve been lacking motivation. So I took some time away from my blog to recollect my thoughts because I felt like everything was lacking purpose. Nevertheless, I feel better today and wanted to write a little inspirational post for anyone who might be going through the same thing.

“Our task is to become our best selves. One of Gods greatest gift to us is the joy of trying again, for no failure ever need be final.” -Thomas S. Monson

I guess sometimes we get caught up in trying to catch up in life. When we compare our life to other people, it is a never ending race. Its not so much trying to compete, it is the thought of thinking life should have been a certain way because of the picture other people have painted it to be. When we compare, it seems like we have less, but thats never true. We all have different times to shine. The key is to focus on yourself and embrace your journey. Surely, hard work pays off.

It’s not always greener on the other side, it’s green where you water it.

I’ve always been strict on taking some time alone to do therapeutic things for the soul and one of them is taking some time off the trail to recollect myself and my thoughts. Your best life is now. Accepting where you are at in life and appreciating all the little things is what matters, because you’ll look back one day and realize they were the big things. Its always the little things that I tend to remember and it always bring some sunshine with it.

Ive always told myself that in every struggle there is a lesson to be learn, and I think the lesson is always to appreciate and acknowledge all the little lessons it teaches us, whether it be small or big because it doesnt matter how slow you go, forward is forward.

I was inspired by a sermon by Joel Osteen. He painted a great picture showing me how powerful the mind can be. When you say you are beautiful, you become beautiful. When you say you are successfull, you become successfull. If you keep telling yourself you are a failure, surely, failure will come looking for you. So keep in mind to always keep your thoughts positive and your life will be everchanging. You’ll surely shine all the way from within:)

  1. There’s so many things that I love about this post, but I’ll just reference two of them. “It’s not always greener on the other side, it’s green where you water it.” PERFECTION! And “it doesn’t matter how slow you go, forward is forward.” I love that! Thanks for this post, it’s a great reminder that ‘I’m not what I think I am, but what I think, I am.’
