So, if I haven’t already mentioned enough about my bad breakout coming into this new year, yes, probably the worst breakout I’ve ever had. I started drinking a green smoothie every morning to help my skin repair, and started doing more research on skin care products that could help ease my nightmare.

I’ve been on the hunt for a good Vitamin C serum, and decided on the Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop due to high review and it being reccommanded on sokoglam, which was curated by Charlotte Cho. I also saw the beautiful Eunice from the youtube channel WishTrendTv mentioned it, so I definitely jumped on board to give it a try.  One thing lead to another and I decided to try a few products from Klairs, as well as a sun screen from the brand Lei Lani.

klairs supple toner

Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner $21.99 USD

This toner ranked top on the Glowpick as best facial toner, so of course I had to try it. I love this toner. The consistency of it is different from any toners I’ve tried. Its a little thicker than that of a liquid, yet quite runny still. So basically it feels like a serum. I think that is what makes it so moisturizing. It feels silky soft to the skin, and makes my skin feels fresh and supple.

This product claims to:

  • Enhance Hydration
  • Balance PH level
  • Calming formula
  • Non-irritating

KEY INGREDIENTS: Hyaluronic Acid, Centella asiatica extract, beta-glucan, lipidure (polyquaternium -51)

Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop (5% Ascorbic Acid) $23.00 USD

I bought this serum for the purpose of brightening and fading dark spots and scars. Within a week of use, I’ve noticed a more even skin tone and a lot of the redness I had on my breakouts were less red. I noticed my breakouts calming down as well. As far as fading goes after a month, I noticed some spots fading faster than others. I still have some scar that is fading gracefully, but overall I am happy with the product.

I think I will continue to use this vitamin C. I love how quickly absorbed it is. The serum is thin and non-sticky. It gives off a bit of heat when I rub it together in my palms before applying it to my face.

This product claims:

  • Non-irritating
  • Transforming
  • Multi-solution

klairs-rich-moist-soothing-serum

Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Serum $22.99 USD

I love this serum. Its a thin serum that is easily absorbed after massaging it into your skin. I usually like to apply a serum before my actual moisturizer because it helps replenish and set my skin for the next step. After it is absorbed, I find it to be a bit tacky. Which is fine for me because my moisturizer that I apply over it usually takes the tackiness away. I enjoy this serum because my skin is so dry, it deeply moisturizes my skin and gives me a bit of radiance.

This product claims:

  • Moisturize
  • Replenish
  • Give Radiance

sun-block-spf-50-pa-lei-lani

Lei Lani Sun Block SPF 50+ $21.24 USD

Of course sun block is so important in prevention against, wrinkles, discoloration, and age spots I had to incorporate it immediately into my skin care routine. I recently only started wearing sun sceen so I was quite new to it. Tried out some sun screen from my local department and found them to be quite irritating for my skin. I decided to give Lei Lani’s Sun Block 50+ a go and absolutely love it! It is fast absorbing, non-sticky, and instantly I noticed it has a brightening effect. It has a fresh scent to it which I kind of actually like!

This product claims:

  • Broad spectrum protection against UVA and UVB rays
  • Light and silky finish on the skin
  • Great for all skin types
